The institute has sophisticated & modern playground with advanced version of equipments. The institute has facilities for Basketball, Cricket, Football, Volley Ball, Badmintion, Athletics Club, Carrom, Table Tennis & Chess etc. All the Games are adequately equipped with Games equipments. The students of S.E.C are participating in different Inter College/ Inter University Sports Meet & Tournament conducted by N.O.U. & I.U.(All India). The Hostels also have their own Outdoor & Indoor Games. Talented players are encouraged to attend different Tournaments held Inside the state and Outside the state.

During the current year the students of SEC have shown excellent performance in winning the Champion & Runners-up trophy in the Inter College Badminton & Cricket Tournament of NOU respectively & Inter University (All India). Some of our Athletes & Badminton Players have been selected for Inter-University sports meet. Our College has hosted the important inter-college competition like Inter-college cricket meet of NOU & Inter-college football meet of BPUT successfully.

During the year 2004-05 the following players namely sri Punyasloka Rout(Cricket), Aswini Kumar (Volleyball), Prasant Kumar Singh (Volleyball) Biswajit Pani (Athletics, High Jump), & Kalpataru Mohanta (Athletics, putting the short, Gold Medal), enlighted the name of our college at different venues by participating and winning the Inter University Cricket, Volleyball & Athletic Meet.

Feeling the necessity of personality development of the students through community services an organized platform like National Service Scheme(NSS) has been introduced in our college. Both the Male & Female Students can be a volunteer of N.S.S which carries special weightage during their carrier.
