Seemanta Engineering College (SEC) was established during the first wave of creation of private engineering colleges in Orissa. It was essentially conceived and eventually planned to be the center of technical excellence to groom potential engineers both in IT and core engineering sectors. Accordingly, the Institute has been regularly and systematically hawk eying the development in these fields to modify curriculum with close coordination with BPUT, the nodal university for overseeing the technical education in Orissa. All this is possible only when the institute is well equipped with infrastructure, Qualified faculty and state of art laboratories. Fortunately SEC amalgamates all these in its gamut.

In SEC we firmly believe that the students are our 'clients' and customer satisfaction is our prime objective. We are also aware that to develop overall personality and character, the students are to be motivated to imbibe in them these two traits. For this purpose SEC has in house, pre-placement training programme to meet the requirement of potential employer in India and abroad. We also encourage, guide them to be efficient and effective entrepreneurs.

Our vision and implementation are dependent upon a cohesive organization like SEC wherein members of Governing Body including the President and Principal, all faculty members and students work in tandem.
