Hostel Rules for Boys
1. The Boarders should maintain absolute discipline in the
Hostels.
2. The Boarder should inform the Superintendent/Asst. Superintendent
in case he wants to remain absent from the Hostel due to any
reason. Prior written approval of superintendent/Asst. superintendent
is mandatory.
3. The Boarder should follow the study hours and dining hours,
prescribed by the hostel authority.
4. No boarder is allowed to entertain any Outsider/Parents/Relatives
without prior permission of the Superintendent.
5. Keeping Weapons in possession inside hostel is prohibited and it is a punishable offence.
6. In the event of receipt of any allegations regarding the violation of any of the conditions of the Hostel Rule by any of the boarder, the Hostel Superintendent will have all such power to remove the boarder from the hostel without assigning any reason or even without giving any opportunity whatsoever to the boarder.
7. Smoking, Drinking Alcohol, Taking Drugs or any other intoxicants
are strictly prohibited.
8. The Boarder should not stay outside beyond
6.00 p.m.
9. The boarder should not damage any hostel properties and
misbehave with any hostel staff.
10. Any deviation of Hostel Rules will be seriously viewed and action taken.
Hostel Rules for Girls
1. Visiting hours for the outsiders to the girls' Hostel is from 4.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m.
2. All residents of the girls' Hostel must be back to the Hostel by 6.00 p.m.
3. Parents must provide a list of persons to the Hostel Superintendents
who can meet his/her ward in the visitors
room.
4. Only lady family visitors are allowed inside the rooms
of the Hostel but they are not allowed to stay after 6.00
pm.
5. Smoking, Drinking Alcohol, Taking Drugs or any other intoxicants are strictly prohibited.

College Rules
1. The students should reach the college in time.
2. The students should come to college in uniforms / dress codified / provided by the college authority.
3. The students should attend all classes. If the attendance of any student falls below 75% (65% on medical / College representation ground) he/she will not be allowed to sit for the University Examination.
4. The students should maintain absolute discipline inside the class room as well as the college premises.
5. The students are not allowed to form any type of unauthorized union / meeting.
6. No student is allowed to entertain outsiders inside the premises of the college without prior permission from the college Authorities.
7. Carrying Weapons of any form inside the college premises is prohibited. It is a punishable offence.
8. Smoking, drinking alcohols, taking intoxicants and drugs are strictly prohibited inside the college premises.
9. No student is allowed to come to college premises after taking intoxicants or alcohols.
10. No student is allowed to create disturbance in any manner whatsoever inside the examination hall during the examination sessions. If any such report is received from the invigilator/ superintendent/ supervisor, the student will be punished as deem fit, including expulsion from the college without assigning any reason whatsoever.
11. No student is allowed to pass any derogative remarks or abuse / use filthy language or un-parliamentary words to any Teaching and non-teaching staffs and junior/senior, or to any other colleague, or to any girl students of the college.
12. Ragging or harassment of
fresher or juniors by seniors of the college anywhere, in any form, is strictly prohibited. In any case of ragging, the college will lodge police complaint against the miscreant which will be dealt with as per law. College may also impose penalty as deem fit. The maximum punishment is expulsion from thee college, College authorities have all such power to award any punishment to the student without assigning any reason or even without giving any opportunity to defend. All such cases will be intimated to the university, which may lead to cancellation of Regd. No. of the concerned student.
Mess
1. The Boarders of the Hostels for both boys and girls should
dine in the mess. They are not to
toke food outside.
2. Any complaint about food/Mess-timing etc. must be given
in writing to the Hostel Superintendent for necessary action.
3. The mess workers should not be subjected to verbal or physical
abuse of any kind. Any student involved in such activities
will be punished.
4. Mess dues should be paid in time.
5. Mess is managed by the students and guided by the Hostel Superintendent.
Punishment for Ragging
1. Ragging or harassment of freshers by seniors of the college,
any where, and in any form is strictly prohibited. Ragging
is punishable as per the supreme court.
2. In any case of ragging, the institute will lodge a police
complaint against the miscreant and will be dealt with as
per law.
3. College may impose minimum punishment for ragging by suspending
for one academic year with fine.
4. The maximum punishment is expulsion from the College.
Law and Order & Safety Issues
1. Students are responsible for the safe-keeping of their
own belongings. The institute is not responsible for any kind
of theft.
2. Students involved in any kind of disturbances in public
places shall be under the general law & order authority.
3. They should ensure safety of college/hostel properties
as their own.
Attendance Requirements
In order to be eligible to appear in the Semester Examinations,
conducted by the University, a student shall posses a minimum
of 75% attendance in every subject. In case of students having
valid medical reasons for absence in classes, the attendance
can be relaxed to 60% at the discretion of the College.
Role of the Parents/Guardians
1. The College will send the academic performance of the
students to the parents/Guardians periodically.
2. In all financial matters, the College expects to interact
with the Parents/Guardians.
3. If a student is found guilty of indiscipline, the College
reserves the right to take disciplinary action against him/her
and inform the Parents/Guardians about the action so taken.
4. In some cases the College may call the Parents/Guardians
for a meeting to discuss various issues of students. Healthy
co-operation in this regard is ever solicited. |
